Death love

June 8, 2013, 6:51 a.m.

34 Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

35 For whoever finds me [Wisdom] finds life and draws forth and obtains favor from the Lord.

36 But he who misses me or sins against me wrongs and injures himself; all who hate me love and court death. (Proverbs 8, Amplified Bible)

Watching daily! How often has the Lord brought something out of his treasure trove of wisdom especially for me, but I missed him! I didn’t show up for the meeting! I confess I have often been elsewhere, lacking in the discipline to simply show up at His door to receive the answers to my urgent prayers. How often has email grabbed my attention and sent me link after link further and further away from the gates of the courts of the Lord? Lord, I repent of my folly. I thank you for the insistence of my friend Pastor Benson Agbortogo that I do spend time in your Word DAILY. Largely for that reason I am here today.

And Amen. Glory to the Lord of Hosts. Mighty is his Name, the name above all names, The Word that was in the beginning before all beginnings, is now, and forever shall be, the Word through whom and for whom all that is was created and all that will be shall come. Amen and amen.
