Proverbs, Chapter 19, Verse 11 (Amplified Bible)
Good sense makes a man restrain his anger, and it is his glory to overlook a transgression or an offense.
Thank you, Lord, for the reminder of what needs to be my standard of conduct, moment by moment. Please show me how to increase the good sense that leads to restraining my anger.
Proverbs, Chapter 14, Verse 17 (Amplified Bible)
He who foams up quickly and flies into a passion deals foolishly, and a man of wicked plots and plans is hated.
Lord, keep me from foaming up and losing control. I need to deal wisely at every moment, not as a fool.
A [self-confident] fool utters all his anger, but a wise man holds it back and stills it. (Proverbs 29: 11, Amplified Bible)
Uttering all my anger! How many times? Lots, many too many! May Wisdom rein me in and reign in me, stilling my anger. And may Wisdom keep me out of the situations that most provoke me!
